Join us December 1 to 24th for the Advent DIY Herbal Christmas Challenge
How it works?
Each day of December 1 to 24 you will come here to open a door on our virtual advent calendar (Hint: You’ll need to be logged in)
Behind each door there is a surprise. It might be:
- Fun!
- A task to complete
- An ebook to download
- A masterclass to look at
- A DIY gift project to complete
- An inspiration
Most tasks can be completed in 10 or 15 minutes. Some might take 30 minutes. You can participate as much or as little as you wish.
Each day in the DIY Herbal Facebook Group you’ll find a corresponding post where you can leave a comment, according to your task each day. Each day that you complete your assignment you’ll receive an entry into a prize draw. There are a total of 46 possible entries. Some entries are so easy everyone will get at least one entry in our draw.
The post will look like this:
I know this is a busy season and we don’t want anyone missing family time to play this game. If you miss a day you can come back and catch up. You’ll have until midnight on December 31st to complete your assignments, and get your draw entries in. Only entries completed by that time will be included in the draw. The Random draw will take place January 16 at 12 Noon PST (3pm EST) in a Facebook Live in the Group.

The Advent calendar begins on December 1st
In the meantime see this post to create your own supply list. Since each of us will be creating different DIY gifts depending on the people on our gift list, having a general DIY pantry with basic supplies will be more beneficial than a specific shopping list.

I’ve been using cedar wood, pine and sweet orange essential oil in my diffuser every day for most of the month..
Thank you for putting the December Advent together for us.. It has been great fun and there are so many great ideas used and some that I intend to use.
Merry Christmas to you and Robin. Enjoy and may the meaning of the season bless you through the coming year.

Thank you, Bobbi.

I enjoyed this Masterclass very much. I am using conifer essential oils in my home, and I was very glad to learn about all the wonderful health support that they offer. I will be looking for a good field guide for my area. I am blessed to live on the New Jersey Coast near the Eastern Pine Barrens, so there are lots of opportunities nearby for walks and foraging. Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks for a great class.

This day brings back fond memories of my mom. She always had beeswax candles to light for special occasions. There use to be a place on the way to Napa that sold nothing but beewax candles. I can remember the colors and smells of the store even now. Need to talk with a friend here in the county and see if he knows of any beekeeper that sells wax.
Chris dl says
That’s a lovely memory.

Chris dl says
That’s a good idea to wait for dry weather to make bath bombs.

Lucky you! Our closest bee keeper is quite a distance and he doesn’t sell his beeswax. I’m jealous.
